The fact of the matter is that throughout the history of Earth the electromagnetic poles have reversed on many occasions. It is not theory, it is scientific fact. Geological data from all around the world shows that on multiple occasions, the earths magnetic poles have not only moved, but have completely reversed themselves.

    As the Earth's tectonic plates move apart from each other, the space in between is filled with magma from deep inside the earth. You may be asking yourself why this is relevant, the reason is, magma is inherently magnetic. As the lava cools it leaves a historical record of where the north pole was at the time.

    There seems to be a direct correlation between the magnetic shift of the poles, the amount of ice around the poles, and the discharge amount of water of the earths rivers. The reason this is important is as the amount of ice decreases the sea levels will continue to rise.
    Not only that, as the worlds rivers continue to rise, they will begin over-topping there banks on a more and more frequent basis, the effects of which can easily be seen simply by turning on the news and seeing the seemingly ever increasing flooding world wide.
